Guys, you should watch a new short film created by Mainstay Pro. It's entitled "The Hanging Tree" and it tells the story about Katniss and her father. Watch and find out their own interpretation on how Katniss learned how to use the bow, The Hanging Tree song, the mockingjay, the electrified fence, and freedom.

Joshua Chislett and his team has just released their film inspired by "The Hunger Games." The story is based on the team's perception on how the Quarter Quell is formed. Here is their plot:
Set 51 years before Katniss Everdeen stepped foot in the arena was Cirrus Quell, the 17 year old District 7 volunteer for the 23rd Annual Hunger Games. The real reason why the Quarter Quell was created.
The runtime of the film is one hour and 10 minutes and young viewers are warned for some violent scenes. The film was shot in Canon T2i/T3i DSLR and was edited using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. The cast for Cirrus Quell are as follows:

Visual artist and freelance videographer Jonathan Parris has spent some major time to create a propo based on Suzanne Collins' third book from the Hunger Games trilogy named the Mockingjay. If you have read the the third book, then you probably know about propos. These are series of short videos that aim to spark the fire of the revolution through Katniss Everdeen, the mockingjay - the symbol of rebellion. These are aired on Capitol TV throughout the districts by hacking into the government's feeds. Anyway, watch the video and enjoy.

My thoughts?
The video is good but I just think the actress needs more convincing. She's not bad for a first timer and I think she can do better than that. Also, with the costume, when she's about to reach the ladder, it seems that she's having the hard time running or moving wearing it. I love the costume and I just hope it can be seen by the official Mockingjay film costume designers. As for the visual effects, I think it needs a little improvement. Some of the scenes were like from video games. But again, thank you for sharing your skills to the Hunger Games fandom.

Here is a fan made video I made about Rue and Katniss' team-up during the 74th Hunger Games. This is one of the most important points of the story and one of my favorites as well. I was really sad when Rue died and I think Taylor Swift's Safe and Sound fits it all.
Basically, I grab some fan art from Deviantart.com and lots of artists in that site have different interpretation of the scene and they are really awesome. I kind of combine stills from the movie and the drawings I found at deviantArt. So, here you go, I hope you like it. Don't forget to drop your comments if you've got something to tell.

I've joined the 3rd and 4th episode of the Finnick and Annie webisode by MainStayPro in this post. Sorry for the late update, I was quite busy. Anyway, here they are:
Annie and Finnick are two fictional characters from the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. They are victors in separate Hunger Games, however, they all come from the same district, District 4 (Fishing). The two are romantically linked to each other.
Finnick Oddair is said to be very handsome and everyone is attracted to him. His ultimate weapons are a trident and a net. He used the net to lure his opponents and then kill them with the trident once they are entangled for sure kill. He used that strategy and won the 65th Hunger Games at the tender age of 14. During the Games, he was given by his sponsors a trident, which probably is the most expensive gift that a sponsor could give to a tribute. (There's no surprise since Finnick is charming and lots of Capitol people are willing to spend their money for such a gorgeous young man). He goes out with a lot of girls in the Capitol for fun and to know more secrets about the Capitol, particularly the dictator President Snow. However, he only have one true love and that's Annie.
On the other hand, Annie Cresta is often thought by others as crazy or mad because she's blank for a lot of times, always silent and is thinking deeply. She started to be like that after she won the 70th Hunger Games. She didn't kill other tributes during the games and in fact she just stayed out of their way and hide so that no one can see her. However, when the Gamemakers decided to flood the arena, she's the only who survived since she knows how to swim because that's the nature of their district.
In the third book, Mockingjay, Finnick and Annie got married at District 13.
MainStayPro, these are group of creative Hunger Games fans, created webisodes for the story between Annie and Finnick. Though these two are only mentioned in the 2nd and 3rd books (Catching Fire and Mockingjay), MainStayPro people develop a story between them before they met Katniss and the rest of the gang. Rue's Death Scene in the 74th Hunger Games
The following clip is quite touching although I was disappointed on the actress who played Rue. I mean she is not that terrible in acting but she did not match Rue's physical appearance. Of course, Rue has dark skin and hair, whereas the actress playing it is blond. On the other hand, I just don't like Katniss' hair in this clip, it's pretty obvious that it's a wig. Although the acting is quite good (but it's not best), I am still looking forward on how Jennifer Lawrence and Amandla Stenberg will bring that scene into life. I'm really excited to shed tears for that. I know they're going to be great.
Well, before we could watch Rue's death scene in the official Hunger Games movie on March 23, 2012, let's see Danielle Chuchran as Katniss and Savanna Kylie Lewis as Rue. I read somewhere that Danielle actually auditioned for Katniss but in the end it was Jennifer who got the role. I don't know with Savanna but I guess she auditioned too, not for Katniss of course but for Rue. Well, don't lose hope guys, I know both of you will have the perfect roles someday. Just don't lose that hope and faith because you'll going to be like the big stars of today. Maybe Hunger Games is not just for both of you.

Katniss and Peeta's Cave Scene during the 74th Hunger Games
You can still see Danielle Chuchran as Katniss in the next video with a British actor named Ben. If you haven't noticed, this is the time when Katniss returned from the feast to get Peeta's medicine. Yeah, Katniss did risk her life to get that medicine for Peeta's wound, which had already led to blood poisoning. She almost died in Clove's hands but Thresh saved him because she saved Rue.
Before you could comment further about the video, please read the message from the creator. Don't even think about asking questions like "how come Peeta become British?" or whatsoever. Honestly, they do have chemistry but not the one that could really move you.

Danielle is very beautiful here. I think she looks more beautiful with black hair than her natural blond.
